WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU SAY YES TO THE DRESS. . . .

CLIPPING vs SEWING. When trying on the sample gowns, the stylists try to do their best to be able to provide you as the bride with the finished result post ordering in your size and alterations. With that being said, if you are trying on a gown that is severly outside of your size range, the dress will absolutely look completely different once it is ordered in your correct size combined with alterations. Be sure to chat with your stylist to ensure a clear perfect fit is acheivable combined with overall vision aesthetic in the gown you are about to order.

SIZING. Some designers have strict size ordering policies with the bridal shops that carry their collections. While the bridal shops do everything they possibly can to get your gown in the size that will be as close to your anatomy as possible, there are times when the designers simply will not allow for a size to be ordered due to misaligned measurements vs size chart. That does not mean your measurements are wrong, it means if your measurements match a certain size in their bridal sizing chart, they will send the size that aligns with that vs the size you want to order. It is very rare when a bride needs no atlerations or very little. Always expect to need alterations once your gown arrives. Again, before you get to alterations, the bridal shops and the designers are doing their best to get you as close to your size as possible but you will need some form of alterations.

BIAS CUT GOWNS. Bias cut gowns are all the rage in couture level bridal. If you are unsure if you are about to purchase a bias cut gown, double check with your stylist. Bias cut gowns are gowns that have intentionally been cut through the weave and weft of the grain of the fabric. This is strategically done in order to get a gown with no stretch to take the form of the body without it being skin tight. When fabric is cut on the bias, it does not stretch evenly. Due to this, bias cut dresses CANNOT be fitted like a bodycon dress. They are designed to effortlessly take the shape of the body. If you are looking for a skin tight fitted bridal gown, you will need to find a bridal gown that is intended for that fit with the correct fabric to support it.

There are limitations that start with the cut of the fabric that translates into the fit and alterations. PINK SEAMS will not over tailor these gowns regardless of request due to compromising the integrity of the gown.
